Expert Opinions on Improving Informative Text Writing Skills Through Descriptive Writing Practices

This current study aimed to reveal expert opinions on the development of informative text-writing skills through descriptive writing practices. The methodological design this is a case that one qualitative research types. In process data collection, 65 were sought, 55 whom Turkish Language teachers, 5 English 3 Literature and 2 Primary-School teachers. formation group, it was ensured participants either teachers or had master’s degree doctorate in field Education. collection phase, obtained practices via opinion form then thematized divided into categories codes. As result study, first five text types recommended by experts essays, autobiographies, petitions, travel writing, diaries, respectively. Among activity suggestions for are use appropriate materials, frequent activities, asking students do before activity, paying attention principles writing. Based findings from seen themes chosen nature, books, culture, travel, friendship, According opinions, organize trips practices, describe places visited, have write create activities using objects. addition, also suggested description people, characters, anyone else class.
